Chain Link Fence

Del Mar Fence’s chain link fabric is a traditional versatile product that can be used for many applications.

Chain link fabric is produced from hot dipped galvanized wire alone or from galvanized core and PVC coated wire, shaped in a lozenge pattern and knitted together.

Chain link rolls are usually available in 50-foot rolls, depending on the height required.

Standard finishes are galvanized, PVC coated green RAL 6005 and PVC coated black RAL 9005, other special colors are also available for larger quantities.

All Del Mar Fence’s stock chainlink fabrics are manufactured to high tensile properties ensuring a quality and long lasting product.

The base metal of the chain link fence fabric is composed of commercial quality medium-carbon wire.

The weight of zinc coating, wire sizes with allowable variances, and wire breaking strength.

In accordance with current standard Zinc-coated (galvanized) steel chain link fence fabric conforming to ASTM A392, ASTM A 817 and other specifications are available in two coating classes with the following minimum coating weights:

Class 1 – 1.2 oz/ft2 (366 g/m2)
Class 2 – 2.0 oz/ft2 (610 g/m2)

GAW is available in either class.

GBW is limited to Class 1 due to the limited availability of galvanized wire with a Class 2 coating.

Fabric woven from 11 ga. wire and fabric woven in mesh sizes less than 1-3/4 in. are GBW.

Any chain link fence fabric made of 610N/mm2 wire is classified as a ‘High Tension’ Chain link.

Any chain link fence fabric made of wire below 610N/mm2 is classified as a ‘Low Tension’ Chain link fabric.

Del Mar Fence chain link fabric can be produced in different wire sizes, with finer wires for standard fences and thicker wires for higher security applications.

Typically available in 2-3/8″, 2″ and 1″ diamond sizes, Chain link fabric can clip onto supporting line cables or run line cables through links.
